1. Where are you from? Where are you currently living?
I'm originally from Nuremberg, but living and working in Munich
2. What is your professional background?
Marketing, Product, Art and Design, Education & Teaching
3. What are you most passionate about and why?
Elegant fashion for slim, busty women. Curves are extremely inspiring for me.
4. Do you have any projects/company/startup that you want to share with us?
5. Why did you decide to start GREIGHT?
First of all, I was bored working as an employee as I never could fully use my wide range of knowledge.
Second, I wanted to solve the problem of my target group (I'm my target group as well) not finding any blouses, dresses or blazers which fitted the body-type slim and busty. Normal fitting sizes in the fashion industry are made for cup size A to max. a C-cup. But already over 30 % of German women wear cup size D and larger and for these women finding clothing which fit is nearly impossible. This is the reason GREIGHT was founded.
6. Very interesting, please tell us more about GREIGHT
We provide elegant fashion for slim, busty women (cup D and larger). The female target group is aged 25-60 who set priority in high quality, sophisticated and elegant fashion to set a statement. We have created two size lines using the normal clothing size system (size 36-44) but combined as follows: cup size D-F is named with the letter "M", cup size G-I is named with "L ". So when you wear size 38 and have a cup size E, you choose size "38M". The Label was founded in 2015, the online shop will be launched in November 2016. Our sellling tour starts with the fashion yard fair in Munich the 05./06. of November, followed by a unique and cosy selling event the 07. December 2016 in Munich, especially created to our target group. There you can sip a glass of champagne while shopping the latest collections.
7. What was the most difficult or challenging thing to start with?
In fashion you have to deal with high costs for the production of minimum amounts and to find manufacturers who are willing to sew small amounts. The next problem is to find producing counties which also have own weaving mills for fabric production. We started to produce in Hungary but as there are no fabric producing mills we have to shop the fabrics else where and to deliver them to Hungary what raised the costs and your own time enormously. Next problem is the money you need to pay all the production costs. In the moment we started our second investment phase, searching for Venture Capital or Investments in general.
8. Where do you currently need support in the project?
We could use help with the distribution and with investment of money.
9. Do you have a advise for other women?
Just do it and believe in yourself. A bit of risk makes life more exiting. A really great thing while starting your own business is, that you will be automatically more open- minded and will meet great people!
10. What would you tell your younger self?
To have started earlier with the learning about money making and entrepreneurial thinking.
